Złombol – Złombol 2024 Chicago USA

Official regulations of the Złombol 2024 rally. All captains will be required to sign it on behalf of their team participants before the start and are obligated to adhere to it. We invite you to familiarize yourself with it.

§1 Purpose and nature of the event:

The event is of a charitable nature. The goal is to collect as much money as possible, which will be used 100% to purchase goods, courses, psychological care, training, and trips for children from orphanages.

Participants provide donors with advertising space on their vehicles, in which they undertake the expedition to the designated location.

100% of the funds raised will be allocated to:

Psychological assistance for children (individual therapies, group therapies, supervisor sessions for caregivers, independent living arrangements, etc.); subsidizing trips for children from orphanages (excursions, camps, holidays, club trips); fulfilling children’s dreams (driving license course, language course, sports equipment, subscription to a favorite newspaper, gift for important events).

Depending on the amount raised, the Organizer selects the number of institutions that will receive assistance. The selected orphanages receiving support are located throughout Poland.

It is prohibited to collect money or gifts that will be used for other purposes (e.g., subsidizing trips, financial support for participants). Without exceptions, 100% of the funds raised through Złombol will be used for assistance, gifts, and trips for children from orphanages!

Financial support from participants is not allowed!

Złombol is not an organized trip for automotive enthusiasts. Złombol is an extreme expedition without any support from the organizers.

§3 Start date and end date and address:

The route leads from Chicago to Michigan and Wisconsin (if conditions related to the political situation, pandemic, and other events allow).

The only Złombol start takes place in WPNA FM 6100 N. Ciecero Ave Chicago. The organization and media coverage of „individual” starts are not permitted.

§4 Participation

Anyone can participate in the rally who, by July 14, 2024, 11:55 PM, sends an application according to the instructions on www.zlombol.pl and is officially accepted by the event organizers. Only vehicles of communist design or production can participate in the rally (exact rules and vehicle list: LINK). The condition that a participant must meet is to contribute:

$800 for car,

$300 for motorcycles,

KajGo portal upon registration plus $67,75 for the starter pack, and to obtain from donors an amount of $800 ($300 for motorcycles) by August 13, 2024  for the benefit of children from orphanages.

The organizer reserves the right to close the list of participants early or refuse participation without justification. The donation, „registration fee” and handling fee are non-refundable!

ATTENTION: Registrations after the date of July, 14th 2024, 11:55 PM will only be possible with an ADDITIONAL donation payment of $150. The fee is due to additional workloads for the Organizer and also includes costs related to additional ordering and preparation of starter packs.

For safety reasons, the specifics of vehicles and the nature of the event, children who still need to use car seats are not allowed to participate.

The siepomaga.pl portal is the official Partner of this year’s ZŁOMBOL edition. 100% of the funds raised within the siepomaga.pl campaign will go to children from orphanages.

Due to safety reasons and the specifics of vehicles (lack of ISO mounts… and more) and the nature and hardships during the event, children who still need to use car seats are not allowed to participate.

Animals are not allowed!

Participation in the event means acceptance of the Regulations by the applicant and each member of their crew. The applicant should familiarize the entire crew with the content of the Regulations and obtain their acceptance of its terms before registering the team.

§5 Event Schedule

§6 Accommodation

Ferries, Driving Campsites marked in the KajGO application are only a suggestion for participants. Each participant chooses the best places for themselves to stay overnight. The organizer does not reserve places and does not guarantee individual bookings at accommodation locations or sufficient space for all participants.

The number of places at campsites or on ferries is limited. Please make advance reservations for accommodation and ferry on your own. The route between accommodation places is not determined, and each participant is obligated to choose the optimal and safe route for themselves. We do not travel in convoys. We drive in accordance with the rules of the road in each country.

§7 Stickers/Starter Pack

As part of the starting package fee of $67,75 gross, the participant receives starting numbers, a set of stickers, gadgets, and access to the KajGO application. The cost is $67,75 gross. Participants arrange stickers from their donors on their own. The areas reserved for Złombol stickers are the front doors and upper strips of the front and rear windows.

There is no possibility of receiving stickers earlier or without a vehicle or without meeting the following criteria:

• Acceptance by Złombol as a participant in the year 2024.
• Payment of the specified amount for stickers.
• Accumulation of the designated amount for children.
• Arrival at the start and presentation of the regulation-compliant vehicle.

In any other case, the payment for stickers is non-refundable! We do not issue stickers without meeting the above points.

§8 Responsibility

By submitting an application to participate in the event, the participant undertakes to comply with the provisions of these regulations and the instructions and communications issued by the rally organizers. The participant agrees to comply with the laws of the respective country’s code, traffic regulations, and insurance of the vehicle (third-party liability, accident insurance) on their own. The car must have a valid technical inspection and be allowed to move on the road. The participant is responsible for the technical condition of their vehicle and for choosing an appropriate route to reach the collective points listed in §5. The organizer does not provide any assistance in the event of accidents, medical problems, repairs, malfunctions, or other technical problems with participants’ vehicles. We recommend obtaining „Road Assistance” insurance with coverage for Europe. Participants undertake the journey at their own expense and responsibility. Participants are responsible for choosing the appropriate route, ferries, and equipment.

§9 Placing Advertisements, Inscriptions

Participants are responsible for placing advertisements, graphics, or other decorations on their vehicles. The organizer has the right to place the Złombol logo on the strip at the top of the front and rear windows, as well as previously agreed graphics of the main donors and starting numbers measuring 45cmx45cm on the doors. Any advertisements, graphics, and other decorations on vehicles that offend third parties or violate commonly accepted moral standards are not allowed. The organizer is not responsible for any slogans or graphics and symbols placed on cars by participants.

§10 Image Sharing

1. By submitting their participation, the event participant irrevocably consents to the free use of photos from the Złombol event, depicting the participant, their vehicle, and crew. The event participant is obliged to familiarize the crew members with this provision of the Regulations and to allow only those individuals as crew members who accept the use of their image captured during the Złombol event within the scope and for the purpose specified in § 10 paras. 2 and 3 of the Regulations.
2. Consent to the use of the image includes the use, fixation, processing, and reproduction of photos taken during the Złombol event through any medium, without the need for each time approving the image presented in the photo/photos.
3. The use, fixation, processing, and reproduction of the image referred to in paras. 1 and 2 above will take place exclusively for the purpose of promoting and informing about the Złombol event.

§11 Traveler Warning

Participants are required to familiarize themselves with the current travel warnings issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Organizer is not responsible for the safety of participants during the event. Participants make all decisions related to departure, route selection, crossing borders, choosing ferries, selecting accommodations, and undertaking special sections at their own discretion. From the organizer’s side, there are no instructions or recommendations regarding the above points.

§12 Personal Data

1. The event participant declares that they consent to the processing of their personal data, included in the registration form on the website https://zlombol.pl, to the extent necessary for participation in the Złombol event, organized from 08/13/2024 to 08/17/2024, in accordance with the Act of 29 August 1997 on the Protection of Personal Data (consolidated text Dz. U. of 2016, item 922).
2. The event participant declares that, in accordance with Article 24 para. 1 of the Act of 29 August 1997 on the Protection of Personal Data (consolidated text Dz. U. of 2016, item 922), they have been informed by the organizers of the Złombol event and acknowledge that:
3. a) the administrator of such collected personal data is the organizer of the Złombol event,
4. b) the personal data of the event participant will be processed solely in connection with participation in the Złombol event, organized from 28.06.2024 to 03.07.2024,
5. c) by submitting the participant’s form, the event participant consents to the disclosure of their personal data: name, surname, ID number, and SS number to other entities conducting electronic registration of the participant and providing event services to the extent necessary for these entities to perform tasks related to organizing the event,
6. d) the event participant has the right to access the content of their data and to correct it,
7. e) providing personal data is voluntary, but refusing to provide it is equivalent to the inability to participate in the Złombol event.

§13 Final Provisions

The Organizer reserves the right to amend and supplement these regulations in the form of updates on the website. The Organizer accepts no responsibility for any damages and losses to participants and their equipment, as well as for any damages and losses indirectly and directly caused by participants to third parties and their property.

By reporting their participation in the Złombol event and taking part in it, the participant submits to the provisions of these regulations and agrees to their content.

Failure to comply with these regulations or relevant legal provisions, as well as refusal to fulfill the above requests, result in the immediate exclusion of the individual from the event and entitle the Organizer to refuse acceptance of the participant without the possibility of raising any claims against the Organizer.

§14 Jurisdiction

This agreement shall be governed by the Laws of the State of Illinois and the parties to this agreement agree that the appropriate venue will be Chicago, Illinois.
